After months of designing, testing, printing, and refining, I’m excited to announce that Container City is now live on Kickstarter.
What began as a handful of container designs created for use at local gaming club tables has grown into a complete modular terrain system featuring over 200 STL files and countless possibilities for creating unique sci-fi battlefields.
An Incredible Launch
The response from the community has been absolutely fantastic.
Container City reached its funding goal in under 3 minutes and, within the first couple hours of launch, backers had already unlocked four stretch goals:
- Climbing Access Upgrade
- Scatter Expansion
- Print-in-Place Doors
- Additional Container Building Designs
Since then it’s continued to do well and has unlocked a further four stretch goals, including the first add-on terrain set.
- Watchtower Set
- Watchtower Add-ons
- One-piece Building Expansion
- Walkway Expansion
A huge thank you to everyone who has backed the project, shared it with friends, or helped spread the word online.
What is Container City?
Container City is a modular 3D printable terrain system designed for tabletop gamers, hobbyists, and makers looking to create immersive sci-fi battlefields.
The project includes:
- Over 200 STL files
- Modular container buildings
- Walkways, bridges, and scaffolding
- Interior-enabled structures
- Industrial tanks and accessories
- Scatter terrain and battlefield details
- Multiple stretch goals already unlocked
The system has been designed with flexibility in mind, allowing the same collection of pieces to be rearranged into everything from small checkpoints and industrial compounds to sprawling multi-level settlements.
Rather than creating a single board, Container City is intended to be a terrain system that can grow and evolve alongside your collection.
Designed for FDM Printers
Container City has been developed specifically with FDM printing in mind.
The files have been designed to be practical to print while still providing plenty of detail and customisation options. Whether you’re creating terrain for skirmish games, RPGs, narrative campaigns, or larger tabletop battles, the aim has always been to make high-quality terrain accessible to as many hobbyists as possible.

Early Bird Pricing Available
For those interested in backing the project, Early Bird pricing is currently available for a limited time but won’t be available for long.
If you’ve been following the development of Container City over the last few months, now is the perfect opportunity to jump aboard and help unlock even more stretch goals.
