I’ve been working on a new terrain system behind the scenes, and it’s finally ready to show.
The preview page for our upcoming Container City Kickstarter is now live.
This is a modular terrain system built around shipping containers, designed specifically for skirmish-scale tabletop games and FDM 3D printing.
What is Container City?
Container City is a flexible terrain system that lets you build anything from a small outpost to a dense, vertical battlefield.
At its core, it’s about taking simple container structures and turning them into something much bigger. Think stacked units, walkways, bridges, and improvised structures that feel lived-in and functional on the tabletop.
It’s designed to work equally well for:
- Sci-fi skirmish games
- Post-apocalyptic settings
- Industrial or urban battlefields
Whether you’re running narrative campaigns or tight competitive missions, the aim is to give you terrain that actively shapes how the game plays.

Built for FDM Printing
This set has been designed from the ground up with home 3D printing in mind.
The focus has been on:
- Support-free printing where possible
- Clean, reliable prints on standard FDM machines
- Durable pieces that can handle regular tabletop use
No overly fragile details. No unnecessary complexity. Just terrain that prints well and holds up in play.

Designed for Gameplay First
A lot of terrain looks great but doesn’t always play well. Container City is built with gameplay in mind from the start.
Expect:
- Clear lines of sight and meaningful cover
- Verticality without awkward model placement
- Modular layouts that can be rearranged quickly between games
The goal is simple: terrain that enhances your games, not gets in the way of them.
Why a Preview Page?
The Kickstarter preview page is live early so we can gather feedback before launch.
If you’ve got thoughts on:
- What you’d like to see included
- Variations or expansions
- Anything that would make the set more useful
Now’s the time to shape it.
Following the preview also means you’ll be notified as soon as the campaign goes live.
What’s Next?
We’ll be sharing more over the coming weeks, including:
- Additional terrain pieces and layouts
- Painted examples and table setups
- Stretch goals and expansion ideas
Container City is designed to grow, and this is just the starting point.
